FarMhouse Insulated! and drywall...

This week began with insulation and ended with drywall. Talk about transforming the inside of the house! It's crazy to see it come together.
Monday insulators (? people who insulate) arrived and blew in cellulose into the exterior walls. Talk about a messy job! This needed 2-3 days to dry before the drywall began. Tuesday night the girls stayed with my dad (thank you!) so I could help T install insulation in the studs of the interior of the home. To help with soundproofing and such (we're very loud people).
We worked late.

Jase and I stopped by on Wednesday to take inside pictures in the daylight. This is what it looks liked with cellulose in the exterior, rolled insulation in the interior.

Yesterday was "Happy New Drywall" day. By this afternoon all drywall is hung (I don't have any pictures of the downstairs yet).
Let me take you on a little tour of the home.
Walking in the kitchen door you experience the great room:

Jase's room is straight ahead on the right, the main bathroom is on the left.

Hallway to the girl's bedroom (doorway on right) and master bedroom (straight ahead). Main entry door is the door with window on the left.

If you peek into the girls' door, this is what you see. The dark spot on the right of the picture is the pocket door leading into the main bathroom. And we might just leave the drywall pieces around, I mean, it'll blend in with the chaos the girls bring!

Walking to the back of the girls' room and peering towards the door, you see this.

Exiting the girls' room and heading into our bedroom now. If you stand at the closet and look towards the hall door you see this.

And going into the closet into the master bath you see the above. On the left is the shower, straight ahead (to the right of the partition) will be a counter top. The sink will be wall mounted on the right just to the other side of the white wall.

The toilet goes on the left of the blue wall.

Ok. Back into our bedroom and looking towards the great room you can see down the hallway.

Heading down the hallway and looking into the great room you see the above.

Walking to the left and peeking in the mud room door you see this.

Thank you for joining us for the tour of our home. It has been a treat. The drywallers have rocked, they are going to start taping the walls tomorrow! (it is a saturday; they've been so good about keeping on schedule). We should get electricity to the house Tuesday or Wednesday, prime the walls this weekend, a new well drilled next week (our current well for the animals is high in nitrates. poop.) and infloor heat along with CONCRETE FLOORS (rock my world) next week already. WOW. It's moving FAST!
