FarMhouse, Kiddos, and Dogs - oh my!

We've been spending a lot of time out at the FarMhouse while T works hard to complete the electrical. It's getting closer, I think he's in the home stretch (for the rough-in at least!).

The girls are stellar at entertaining themselves. It's amazing what they can come up with to do with scrap wood.
(yes, that's Chopper supervising their project...)

(this says "Adalynn loves Jesus" in 3 places, per Adalynn's directions)

They were supposed to be napping...

Lil Man has been doing pretty good too. Tolerated the heat well, and generally puts up with being carted around...as long as he gets frequent snacks. He's quite a tank - gained 1# and 1.5" in 2 weeks! Doc told us he's in the 99.5% for height, and recommended we install a B-ball hoop on his crib now...

The (excuse my language) SEXY white roof went on this week. I'm super excited about it.

I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of right now. Have a great Memorial Day, and thanks to all those who have served.

FarMhouse Front - 2 views

FarMhouse Porch? Plumbing? Electrical? CheCk!

Yesterday my sister and her husband took the girls to the zoo (they LOVED it!), freeing Jase and I up to spend the afternoon at the house directing outlet and switch placement and generally observing the busy-ness.
There was porch building...

Rough plumbing...

 Rough Electric...

And just a little snoozing....

Hooray!

Happy Mother's Day! (belated...)

(better late than never, right?)

We thank God for our mothers! We don't know what we'd do without them.

I thank God for my husband and children...I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family.

Happy (belated) Mother's Day!

FarMhouse Enclosed!!

The FarMhoose now has windows, doors, and Tyvek - as of this past Friday. We're kinda excited about it.

And, simple stairs to the basement (a little safer than the ladder!).

FarMhouse Progress

Today marks the start of securing the house - 3 doors are in! Also, all of the windows are cut out, ready for tomorrow.
This week we met with 2 drywallers for quotes, an electrician, and bought our cabinets. God's hand continues to be evident in this home. The electrician is an old friend of mine who graciously said he'd meet with T and consult to make sure the electrical side will be up to code (if you ever need an electrician, I highly recommend him!).
When we went to buy our cabinets the sales lady said that we came just in time. Buying from a discount warehouse has its advantages and disadvantages...the semi loads of the shaker hickory cabinets we picked out weeks ago were close to running out. We had to change the layout of one cabinet, but we made it. One more week and I think we would've been out of luck; God's timing is perfect.

Baby Boy

There likely won't be many words to this post, little J is quite hungry (or so he thinks). But here are a few pictures of the 'lil dude:

We're getting along pretty well. Work on the house was slow last week, but will hopefully pick up again this week.

Headed home!

Well, in a roundabout way...after feeding the animals, lunch and picking up the sisters, and a trip to restock the animal food...sorry kiddo, we've got things to do!
(and thanks for the welcoming comments! Jase can't wait to meet y'all and hang out!)

Yesterday

Travis and I headed to the hospital. Seems baby boy didn't want to come on his own, so I was scheduled to be induced at 5am.
Jase Travis was born at 8:41pm. 9lbs, 12ounces and 21" of BOY! He's doing great and his sisters love him!
