HarvestFest Preview
It can be done, we are living proof - that in mid-October in Traverse City, it is possible to tent camp for a weekend with an almost 2 year old and 3 month old.
As this week we are growing by 1 pony (forever) and 1 puppy (temporary), I don't have time to elaborate too much on our fun-filled weekend, but here are 3 teasers:
1. Pumpkin Carving
2. Costumes
and 3. Cousins
Thanks, Opa and Oma, for such a FUN weekend. It was a blast!

____ + _____ = WHAT???
Jeep Liberty + Minivan traveling ? MPH = A totaled Minivan.
And this, in addition to a knocked up bumper because I was pushed into the fellow in front of me, is all our damage. Thank God, that the kids were ok.
The odd thing is, stopped on the x-way coming into the dangerous S-curve (our town's way of detouring tourists) on Tuesday morning and seeing a minivan in my rear view mirror traveling WAY TOO FAST to stop in time, I had time to squish to the left a little and think, "Oh crap, this is gonna hurt". But - it didn't. Even when the estimate on the Liberty returned with almost $4200 worth of damage. And all I now envision are angels wrapping pillows around the Liberty as we were knocked around, because I don't remember feeling the hit hardly at all. It scares me, to think that the kids may have felt it worse than I; but when I rushed around to their door and opened, Keely fed me a fabulous grin that said, "Hey Momma, what are you doing around here? Are we there yet?". And then I think of the angels.

Stop the abuse!
Oh man. I'm loving the comments, really, from the Pony-Pony post. You guys are too much. And I never know where to reply to these comments, so I'm going for it. Because I've missed them.
So.
Laura - I think they're super lucky too. And yes, I've found that I am pathetically living vicariously through my children already. They're in for a rude awakening.
Jean - I LOVE THE NAME MOLLY JEAN. It is SO cute. :) Ok, had to get that out of my system. The corn maze - Super Fun! But, I think they're razoring the corn. Or whatever they do when they cut it down far. But really, Dairy Goats? So here's my stance (and therefore the FarM stance) on goat dairy products:
They Taste Like Goat.
I can't get past it. I think they taste just like they smell. At first I was very against even owning goats. But I do respect their ability to eat grossly inedible objects, and I think this may be necessary in our heavily wooded situation. Bottom line: Once we're in, I'd try it.
And last but not least. Kate. When did you become such a comedian? I have to put this out here, because my response won't make sense unless you read Kate's comment:
This means you are definately not pregnant, right? :)
Ha. Ha. Saying I would shoot myself is a strong statement. But maybe. Just in the pinky toe.

Guess what, I'm married to a fireman!
Tonight at the township meeting there were some very special things happening.
So proud. Keely, in fact, was singing for him. And wouldn't stop. It was sweet, really.
Congrats, honey, you dun good!

The Tummy Tub: Revealed
I have to preface this video with yes, Keely does indeed like the tummy tub and it has been a very casual Sunday evening. Normally she is very content to sit, play a little, smile, coo ... but it was either the tepid water (very likely) or Daddy's videotaping that she was NOT a fan of today. Maybe she's going to be the conservative one of us all. Who knows.
Tiffany, you have to watch till the end. There is a special message for you from Adalynn, tooting her own horn, but it's kinda what she does these days.
